Each appointment is spaced 3 weeks apart. *Rabies is done when your puppy or kitten is 12 weeks or older, regardless of which visit you are on.
HSP Preferred Wellness Plan is a program that provides the best preventative medicine at an affordable price. Any substitutions or changes to the Plan will result in full itemized pricing and loss of Plan benefits.
All intact animals in the PUPPY or KITTEN WELLNESS PLAN will be given a $10 discount on their spay or neuter for 60 days after their last visit.
Minimum age to begin the puppy/kitten plans is 8 weeks.
Rabies vaccine will be given at 12 weeks of age, regardless of the visit.
The age of the animal is determined by a Record of Birth or the Veterinarian.
All canines over 6 months of age should to be tested for Heartworm. This test is not included in Preferred Wellness Plan prices.
All puppies and kittens need to receive Distemper vaccines every 3 weeks until they are 16 weeks old.
All adult cats and dogs receiving their first distemper or leukemia vaccine will need a booster in 3 weeks in order to ensure proper protection.
All kitten and puppy visits in the Wellness Plan are required within the timeframe given by the Veterinarian. Usually, visits are 3 weeks apart. All animals in the plan are expected to return when their next booster is due. Failure to return within this expected time may result in loss of Plan benefits.
Only the Veterinarians and Director are able to make changes to the Plan based on individual cases. Again, changes made by the Pet Owner will result in full itemized pricing (listed beside Plan Prices) and loss of Plan benefits.
Plan benefits apply only as long as the owner adheres to their selected Preferred Wellness Plan requirements.
We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
Is there an age limit for wellness services?
Pets must be 8 weeks old before we can perform any services for them.
Do you sell flea and tick treatments?
Yes! Currently over the counter we sell Frontline Gold, which is a topical flea treatment and Seresto Collars which last 8 months. We also sell Nexgard for dogs and Revolution for cats; both of these are by prescription and require your pet to have an exam done at our office within the last year. We do not do flea baths/dips.
My pet has worms, can you treat that?
Yes. We would need to have your pet come in for an exam and fecal test, so we can determine what kind of worms we need to treat. Then we can prescribe the appropriate deworming medication.
My pet needs a vaccination, does it need to have an exam too?
No, we do not require your pet to have an exam if you just need vaccinations. We do recommend pets get an exam done once a year and their Rabies vaccination must be up to date, or we can update, when we provide other vaccinations.
Does my pet need to have blood work done?
Pets coming for wellness services do not require blood work. We do recommend pets over 7 years of age have blood work done yearly as part of their general care.
If your pet is coming in for surgery we require blood work if your pet is 8 years old or older to be sure your pet is healthy enough to go under anesthesia and for the procedure. We can only accept blood work from another facility if it was done within the past 2 months. Any blood work previously done at our facility is only good for 2 months.
