The Humane Society of the Piedmont makes free pet food available to pet parents in need. We need volunteers during the Humane Society’s normal business hours, Monday – Friday from 8am – 5pm to unload, organize, and log incoming food, to enter applications and incoming/outgoing food logs into the computer, and to help us check messages and return calls.
After joining our team of community outreach volunteers, you can tailor your volunteer experience to whatever you enjoy most. Volunteers lead tabling efforts at festivals and fairs, help with planning and staffing of special fundraising events and distribute flyers around town to places with community bulletin boards.
Assist our clinical staff with checking in clients, surgical preparation, organization, cleaning, and other clinical tasks. If you prefer to keep your hands clean, we always need help making reminder phone calls for spay/neuter appointments, filing and letter writing.
