The race is a 5K walk/run that is open to everyone in the community. The Humane Society of the Piedmont is a non profit organization that will be participating in the race. Their main mission is to eliminate animal cruelty and the tragedies of pet overpopulation through an aggressive spay and neuter program. If you would like to sponsor a runner contact The Humane Society of the Piedmont. The event is held every year as a way to help raise money for non profit organizations and is sponsored by the Volunteer Center of Greensboro. All the proceeds of the event will go towards the non profit organization of your choice. There will also be free food and live music.
